Director Of Product Job Description


Farm’d is seeking a rockstar Director of Product to lead all of our digital channels across web (desktop and mobile web) and native mobile. We’re a two sided marketplace that simplifies sales and logistics for buyers and sellers of fresh food.  We’re building products for farmers and chefs to make their lives easy and help them focus on running their business more efficiently and more profitably.

Farm’d is a community marketplace, connecting buyers and sellers of locally sourced food, empowering transparent, sustainable and a local food system.  Freshly funded and working out of the Atlanta Tech Village, Farm’d is working towards a better food system every day.


  • Help shape and drive the strategy of product across all verticals.

  • Develop empathy for farmers and chefs to better plan and build products to meet their needs.

  • Lead the planning, scoping and prioritization of the projects to achieve short and long term goals. You’re responsible for outlining entire roadmaps, project requirements, goals and run the show.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with: Engineers, Designers, Marketing and Sales to evaluate opportunities and help the company drive growth.

  • Quickly generate proof of concepts, and work with engineers to launch these experiments and measure results.

  • Communicate with the team using data. We love charts, spreadsheets and dashboards here.


  • Experience: 6+ years of experience shipping and managing digital product. You’ll be building web AND mobile products.

  • Analytics: You’re a data nerd. You love to use data to make decisions and drive the team’s opinion.

  • Leadership: Everything in product begins and ends with you. You will be responsible for continually evolving and representing your defined strategies and initiatives.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset: We’re a startup, and the ideal candidate will share the passion we have for speed and hustle.

  • Method: Follow agile methodology or similar to keep making progress iteratively.

  • Passion for food is a distinct plus.
